playing in the sprinkler

After my brothers and i had pulled a sufficient amount of weeds my mother said we could play in the crazy sprinkler. It is called the crazy sprinkler because it is long, orange, and it has little colored, wiggly spouts that spray in every direction. When I first set it up neither Liam or Beau would go near it. So I had to find a way of making the sprinkler fun.
My solution was to make a race track. I would walk a silly looking trail around the sprinkler that would get them very wet. Then I would tell them to go and watch as they tried to repeat what i had done. Most of the time Liam would win because Beau was so worried about having water in his eyes.
After several races I tried to mix things up by having them jump straight over the sprinkler but Beau wouldn't do it and Liam stopped trying after the third time he jumped over it. At that point they were getting tired of the sprinkler so I started filling the water table with water so we could fill the small water guns. Right as we finished filling the water table my mom told us all to come inside to cool down.
